1. Joel Ordonez, Club Brugge
Fabrizio Romano confirmed earlier in January that Liverpool are scouting Club Brugge defender Joel Ordonez, who at 21, is expected to become one of the best young defenders in Europe.
It is understood that he could be available for around £35m, which is a similar fee to what Liverpool could have got Guehi for in the summer.
Romano said: “But at the moment Liverpool are scouting Ordonez, as they are scouting many players, but nothing done or agreed at this stage.”
Analysis – Ordonez is a signing for the future, and he can also play as a full-back if needed, which is exactly what Liverpool need, he would be a great addition, but his lack of experience could be an issue.
