‘5/10’ Liverpool And Chelsea Transfer Target Criticised By Media As He Struggles For His Country

Reported Liverpool transfer target Ryan Gravenberch struggled to make an impact as the Netherlands laboured to a 2-2 draw against Scotland last night.

The 19-year-old, who has also been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, had an evening to forget with Dutch website Football Oranje criticising his performance in their player ratings:

“5/10: A great talent but the midfielder did not impress after coming on in the first-half. Lost the ball far too often. Needs to concentrate more.”

It will be interesting to see whether Gravenberch can make a bigger impact when the group stages of the European Championships start at the end of the next week.

The midfielder is undoubtedly a very promising young player, and you would expect Liverpool to be keeping close tabs on his development, especially considering the departure of Georginio Wijnaldum.

It has been reported that Gravenberch could be available for around £30m, which is a reasonable price tag, but the player’s father did appear to rule out a potential transfer this summer when he was asked about his son’s future at the start of last month.
