“A Golden Option” Report Details Liverpool’s Shock Interest In Striker Who Has Scored 469 Career Goals

Liverpool are keen on recruiting Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski next summer, according to Fichajes.net.

The Spanish website claims that the Polish international, who has scored 469 senior career goals, has decided to leave Germany at the end of the season and the Reds are looking to “take advantage of the situation.”

It is believed that manager Jurgen Klopp is seeking to improve his options in the forward line, with neither Roberto Firmino nor Divock Origi being deemed to be of sufficient quality.

Lewandowski is said to be open to making the switch to Anfield, as he would be joining an elite club as well as linking up once again with Klopp, who he worked with at Borussia Dortmund. It is seen as a “golden option” for both Liverpool and the player.

Whether there is any truth to Fichajes.net‘s story, we shall have to wait and see. Lewandowski has been linked with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea over the past year, but many believe his favoured destination would be Spain.
