Liverpool are prepared to sell midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum if they receive an offer in the region of £15m from Barcelona for the player, according to reports in the English media.
At this stage, it is thought that Barca are not prepared to pay above £10m, due to the player’s age and contract situation, but fans on Twitter believe the Dutch international is worth a lot more:
15 mil for a seasoned International footballer who has just won the epl and a champions league winner is a joke.

Has to be as close as the thiago price as possible otherwise John Henry is gonna send us the Red Sox’ 5th choice pitcher as replacement

We should be asking for at least £20m

If Thiago is 30m, 20m for Gini is fair

It is understandable that Liverpool are worried about losing Wijnaldum for nothing next summer, and they are also keen to raise funds to sign Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alcantara, but it would be unwise to let a key player leave for such a low price.
The 29-year-old has played a vital role as Jurgen Klopp’s side won the Champions League and Premier League over the past few years and that should be taken into account when it comes to the price tag.
Reds’ sporting director Michael Edwards is usually excellent in negotiations and if Barcelona do make an offer in the next few days as expected, it will be hoped that the Merseyside club will play hardball over the transfer fee.
