Liverpool are reportedly one of three Premier League clubs interested in signing Ajax winger Antony.
The Brazilian has had a good season, scoring 12 goals and contributing 10 assists in 33 appearances, and he could be available for around €40m (£33m).
Some supporters on Twitter believe Antony could well be an option if Mo Salah does leave Anfield this summer, but others are not so sure whether he would be the right fit for Jurgen Klopp’s side:
He’s predominantly right sided, a possible signing if Mo moves on, in fairness our recruitment has been exceptional, I’ve learned to trust their judgement, Antony, Tchouameni and a backup to Trent would be fantastic business.

He’s an absolute baller. For those saying his antics don’t match with LFC, he’s passionate af and his off the ball work rate is pretty good too!

YT clips suggest he may bring to the right what Diaz brought to the left. Cheaper option than Raphinha. The team are transfer Jedis, so not overly concerned about who they bring in. You know they’ve done their homework

That’s the player I think of signing if M.Salah fails to renew his contract…

Antony has been criticised for his lack of discipline in the past so that would be a concern for the Reds’ recruitment team. There is also speculation that the likes of Barcelona, Manchester United and Chelsea are interested in him so there could be a battle for his signature.
At 22 years of age, though, he does have massive potential, and you could see Klopp getting the most out of him if he does make the switch to Merseyside.
