Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah has continued to cement his reputation as one of football’s most humble and likeable characters after donating nearly half-a-million pound to a children’s hospital in Egypt.
Salah recently touched the hearts of his nation when he helped to fund a bone marrow transplant for a young boy suffering from cancer.
And now, in another huge token of generosity, the Anfield star has donated 12 million Egyptian pounds – equating to around £500,000 GBP – the 57357 children’s cancer hospital in Cairo to help buy medical equipment for young cancer sufferers.
Mostafa Zamzam, chief trustee of a charity linked to the hospital, revealed Salah’s generous donation on social media.
Salah, who joined Liverpool in the summer from Serie A side AS Roma, is enjoying a terrific first season at Anfield, having found the net a record 32 times already for his new club, and is a front-runner for this season’s PFA Player of the Year Award.
Is there anything this man can’t do? …
