Crystal Palace have reportedly offered a new contract to Wilfried Zaha but the Ivorian international is said to be holding out for a move to a bigger club.
With his current deal set to expire at the end of the season, the former Manchester United player could be available on a free transfer.
When they were asked whether Liverpool should consider snapping up Zaha, Reds fans on Twitter were mostly against recruiting the winger:
Absolutely not. We have Diaz and Jota off the left. He’s 29 and average

No he's finished

Nope too inconsistent and injury prone, our treatment table is already too busy

Absolutely….pace and power, something we are clearly lacking

Absolutely not. He's 29 and still at Palace for a reason.

No , 2 inconsistent, great on his day but doesn't have enough of them days

No. The problem we have currently is we have an ageing squad. Adding another 30 year old on massive wages to the mix won’t solve anything. If we’re looking for another forward then we need to look to the future, like a Gakpo or someone. There’s a reason Zaha is still at Palace.

Actually wouldn’t mind it😂

Zaha’s age and attitude seem to be the main two issues supporters have with signing the player. Admittedly he did flop the last time he left Palace but he has matured a lot since then.
The 29-year-old’s availability may tempt manager Jurgen Klopp, who has expressed his admiration for the Ivorian in the past. There will likely be competition for his signature, though, with the likes of Chelsea and Arsenal having also been credited with an interest in the forward.
