Agent Of £70m Rated Liverpool Target Speaks Out About Possible Summer Transfer

The agent of Wolves winger Adama Traore has said that there would have been a number of teams interested in signing the Spaniard before the global health crisis halted football in its tracks.

The 24-year-old has been linked with Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City and Barcelona in recent months, with a £70m price tag said to have been slapped on the player, but the financial downturn means football clubs are not currently focused on transfer business. Rodri Baster says he is hoping things calm down soon:

“I can’t talk about contractual situations because it’s a private matter, but Adama was having a good season, and with his age, conditions and the fact he’s a very appealing player, there would have been a market for him, no doubt about it.”

“We have to hope for the situation to normalise itself and hope that it won’t affect him this summer.”

Traore has certainly had his best season to date, with six goals and 10 assists in 43 appearances for Wolves. His pace and power have seriously impressed Reds manager Jurgen Klopp who called him a “big, big talent” back in December last year.

Those comments then fueled speculation that the Merseyside club may be looking to sign the player. However, with Wolves not needing to sell, it’s hard to imagine Liverpool paying out a significant sum to sign him.
