Alisson And Fabinho To Start, Diogo Jota On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Chelsea

Anfield Stadium

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is likely to be back in the squad for the Chelsea game after taking compassionate leave following the death of his father last week. The Brazilian is expected to take Adrian’s place in goal for the match at Anfield.

In defence, Fabinho could come back into the centre of defence after recovering from a muscular injury. The 27-year-old may line up alongside Ozan Kabak with Nat Phillips the favourite to be dropped to the bench.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has very few options in midfield, so Curtis Jones, Georginio Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcantara could all be named in the starting eleven once again.

Up front, Diogo Jota could return after two and a half months out but, after missing the game against Sheffield United due to illness, the Portuguese international may only feature as a substitute. That would mean that Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah will start as the forward line.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Chelsea:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Kabak, Fabinho, Robertson, Jones, Wijnaldum, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Mane
