Alisson, Minamino And Trent To Start, Robertson On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Arsenal

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has dropped a big hint that Alisson Becker will start ahead of Caoimhin Kelleher against Arsenal this evening.

With that in mind, we expect the Brazilian to be given the nod for the clash at Anfield. In terms of the fullbacks, Trent Alexander-Arnold has recovered from the virus so should be available to play. Andy Robertson is fit, despite picking up a knock against Shrewsbury in the FA Cup at the weekend, but you would expect Kostas Tsimikas to come back into the team, just as a precaution.

Virgil van Dijk is likely to start at centre-half, with Joel Matip expected to partner him. Despite receiving high praise from Klopp, Ibrahima Konate could be dropped to the bench.

In midfield, with Thiago still injured and Naby Keita away at the African Cup of Nations, we may see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain face his former club, with Fabinho and Jordan Henderson taking up the other two midfield roles.

Up front, with Sadio Mane and Mo Salah both absent, and Divock Origi still injured, we could see Takumi Minamino lining up on the left, Roberto Firmino through the middle and Diogo Jota playing off the right flank.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Arsenal:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Tsimikas, Henderson, Fabinho, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jota, Firmino, Minamino
