Liverpool forward Mo Salah has been voted WalkOn.com‘s Player of the Season by supporters. The Egyptian international just edged Fabinho out of first place with 37.62% of the vote.

The Brazilian only narrowly missed out on top spot, with 36.3%, while Alisson Becker rounded out the top three with 9.57%. Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Jordan Henderson were also nominated for the award, and you can see the full list by pressing “view results” below:

While Fabinho has certainly performed well, both as a centre-back and a central midfielder this campaign, Salah is the only player who has really matched the standards he has set in previous seasons.

31 goals in all competitions is actually eight more than he managed in the whole of last campaign, and there is no doubt that, at 28 years of age, he is very much at the height of his powers.
