‘Arsenal And Liverpool Are Also Interested…’ Report Claims PL Rivals Are Vying To Sign £52M Rated Midfield Lynchpin

Kimmich

Liverpool, Arsenal and Barcelona are all keeping tabs on Joshua Kimmich’s situation at Bayern Munich, according to Marca.

The Spanish publication focus on Barca’s interest in the German international but they claim that “Arsenal and Liverpool are also interested” in the German international.

Kimmich has reportedly become unsettled in Germany and there is a possibility that he could leave the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.

Marca report that the 28-year-old could cost at least €60m (£52m) and, while that could rule Barcelona out of the race for the midfielder, it may not deter Premier League clubs from making bids.

Kimmich has the ability to play both as a holding midfielder and right-back, which means he could well be deployed in Trent Alexander-Arnold’s inverted fullback role.

However, spending such a sizeable amount of money on a player, who would probably be a rotation option at best, is pretty unlikely.

Why is Kimmich looking to leave Bayern?

Even last summer, the midfielder had expressed an interest in playing abroad before he hangs up his boots:

“That [playing in another country] would be an interesting challenge. I don’t know what will happen in a few years, we’ll see.”

With two years left on his contract, Kimmich seems to be seriously considering his options. It remains to be seen whether he’ll end up in England.
