‘Awesome Player’ ‘Needed’ ‘World Class Assist Play’ Liverpool Fans Call On Club To Sign Salah’s International Teammate

Liverpool forward Mo Salah scored for Egypt in their African Cup of Nations group stage win over the Democratic Republic of Congo last night.

The 27-year-old bagged the second goal, but it was the assist from his teammate Trezeguet that caught the attention of some fans.

The winger nutmegged a player before darting into space and delivering a through ball to Salah. Supporters on Twitter would like Liverpool to go after the 24-year-old:

Trezeguet has certainly been Egypt’s standout player of the tournament so far, having also scored in the opening game win against Zimbabwe.

His club form for Turkish Super Lig side Kasimpasa has also been impressive, having scored 25 goals and provided 18 assists during his last two seasons.

However, his performances at his previous club Anderlecht were not as good, and if he struggled to perform in Belgian football, it’s not likely he’d be able to step up to perform in the Premier League.

Basing judgements on a few games at an international tournament is always fraught with danger and Liverpool likely have other targets in mind.
