‘Bad Player’ ‘A Backup Option For Fabinho’ Fans Ask Why Liverpool Are Challenging Arsenal For 26M Rated Argentine

Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Real Betis midfielder Guido Rodriguez. It is believed that the Argentinian international is being considered as a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum.

The 27-year-old is said to be valued at around €30m (£26m), and he has also been interesting Arsenal this summer, but fans on Twitter don’t think there is any credibility to the stories linking the player with a move to Anfield:

Rodriguez did impress for Betis last season, while he has also established himself as a regular starter at international level for Argentina, but he is not someone who has the same skillset as Wijnaldum.

During his professional career, the Argentine has picked up three times as many bookings as he has scored goals. As one supporter pointed out, he would more likely be used as an understudy for Fabinho. Whether manager Jurgen Klopp actually needs someone like Rodriguez in his squad, it seems debatable.
