Barcelona are interested in taking Liverpool keeper Simon Mignolet to the Camp Nou, according to reports. 

Mignolet looks certain to leave Anfield before the start of the new season after Liverpool completed the £67 million signing of Brazil number one Alisson.

The Reds’ acquisition of the highly rated shot-stopper has seen Mignolet now become the club’s third choice keeper after losing his number one spot to Loris Karius last term.

Besiktas made contact with Liverpool over the availability of the Belgium international last week, however have yet to follow up with a firm offer, and Barcelona  have now emerged as shock contenders for his signature.

The Catalans want Mignolet to replace Jasper Cillessen as the club’s second choice keeper, with the Dutchman widely expected to leave Spain this summer.

Mignolet joined Liverpool in 2013 from Sunderland, and has since made 200 appearances for the club.

Liverpool are expected to demand a fee of around £12 million for Mignolet.
