BBC Pundit (Who Predicted Liverpool Would Miss Out On The Top 4 Last Season) Has A MASSIVE Change Of Heart

BBC pundit Jermaine Beckford is expecting Liverpool to win the Premier League title this season.

The former Leeds striker notoriously claimed that the Reds would miss out on the top four entirely last campaign, with Leicester taking their place.

However, this season, Beckford expects Jurgen Klopp’s side to finish first, with Manchester City in 2nd, Tottenham third and Arsenal fourth.

Beckford was one of 22 pundits asked by the BBC for their pre-season predictions. This year, nine have backed Liverpool to lift the Premier League, while thirteen believe that City will retain the title.

It is a stark contrast to last summer, when not one of them were willing to back the Reds to finish top, with seven of the pundits going for Chelsea instead.

Among those who have gone for Klopp’s men this time around are former City defender Nedum Onuoha, Clinton Morrison, Chris Sutton, Dion Dublin, Stephen Warnock, Jermaine Jenas, Matt Upson and Glenn Murray.
