Best Players Aged 18 Or Under In The Premier League This Season

Currently, the Premier League is a hotbed for brilliant young footballers. Players such as Bukayo Saka, Amadou Onana and Phil Foden have all made their mark – but what about those under the age of 18?

For this list, as you can imagine, we will be looking at players who are 18 or under exclusively. As such, players such as Leeds United’s Wilfried Gnonto, for all his talents, will be left out.

The Premier League has seen plenty of talented youngsters burst onto the scene in the past – Michael Owen, Cesc Fabregas and Marcus Rashford all spring to mind.

They say you can’t win anything with kids – well, with these kids, we would like to beg to differ. Believe us – the kids are alright.

Divin Mubama

Perhaps the most underrated youngster on this list, Divin Mubama has been a bright spark in what has been a miserable campaign for West Ham United.

Some audiences believe he should be starting more games for the Hammers, ahead of Danny Ings and Michail Antonio – it’s certainly something for head coach David Moyes to think about.

A powerful runner with explosive pace, Mubama also displays instincts and movement well beyond his years. Could the Newham-born 18-year-old be given a real chance to shine next season?

Rico Lewis

At present, it is very difficult to stand out in Manchester City’s team – Pep Guardiola has assembled one of the best club sides in football history. Nevertheless, when handed an opportunity, Rico Lewis has done just that.

An attacking full-back by trade, Lewis is also a skilled defender – to be able to do both at such a young age is very impressive.

This season, he has made 20 appearances for Manchester City across all competitions – in those games, he has scored a single goal (which came in the Champions League against Sevilla.

Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho has been sensational since he arrived on the scene at Manchester United. A skilful dribbler, he is also a composed finisher – which is not something you would expect from a young winger.

This season, the Madrid-born starlet has scored five goals and has registered five assists for United’s senior team in 30 appearances.

Despite being born in Spain, Garnacho represents Argentina internationally. He has yet to receive a a senior call-up, but he has impressed for their under-20s – scoring four goals in as many games.

Stefan Bajcetic

This season, Liverpool have been experiencing a crisis in midfield. However, before his injury, they had the perfect solution within their youth ranks – enter Stefan Bajcetic.

The young Spaniard has been a revelation in the Reds’ midfield. He has added energy, intelligence and a range of passing to a depleted Liverpool outfit.

He’s currently out with an injury – Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool fans alike will be hoping it doesn’t stunt his development too much.
