‘Big Mistake’ ‘Has To Be 1 Year Max’ ‘This Is Why We’re In Crisis’ Liverpool Fans Not Happy About Latest News Coming Out Of Anfield

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino is on the verge of signing a contract extension with the Reds, according to reports.

The Brazilian’s current deal at Anfield expires at the end of the season but there is now an expectation that he will remain at the club beyond the summer.

While some supporters have welcomed the news, the vast majority of fans on Twitter are not best pleased that Firmino will be staying at Liverpool:

Manager Jurgen Klopp has been accused of being too loyal to players who are past their best and the proposed deal for Firmino seems to be another prime example.

The striker is now 31 years of age, and he hasn’t been seen in action since Christmas due to an ongoing calf problem.

Firmino’s stats this season are not too bad. He has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 21 appearances but you do have to remember that five of those goal contributions came in one match against Bournemouth back in August.
