Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Giorgi Mamardashvili – Slot favoured Alisson for the last round against Brighton, but the Georgian international needs some minutes.
RB – Calvin Ramsay – Jeremie Frimpong will be saved for the game against Galatasaray, while Joe Gomez will be needed in the centre of defence, so there could be a rare start for the Scot.
CB – Joe Gomez – either Ibrahima Konate or Virgil van Dijk should get a rest, and we expect the former will be benched, with Gomez taking his place.
CB – Virgil van Dijk – the captain started in the last two rounds of the FA Cup, so we don’t anticipate him being left out.
LB – Andy Robertson – the 31-year-old is very much playing second fiddle to Milos Kerkez these days.
