Chelsea agree deal with Liverpool target Alisson

Chelsea have agreed a deal to take Liverpool target Alisson to Stamford Bridge next season, according to reports.

The Brazil international has enjoyed two brilliant seasons with AS Roma since moving to Italy in 2016, and was been heavily linked with a move to the Liverpool this summer.

Jurgen Klopp is on the hunt for a new keeper to replace unconvincing duo Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, and had identified the AS Roma shot-stopper as his number one target.

However Chelsea appear to have now pipped Liverpool to the highly-rated 25-year-old.

Reports in Italy suggest that Chelsea have agreed personal terms with the Brazilian over a £100,000-a-week contract, and will agree a fee – believed to be in the region of €70 million – with Roma in the coming days.

The Blues want Alisson to replace current number one Thibaut Courtois, who is the likely to leave for Real Madrid after the World Cup.

The Belgium international has stalled over a new deal with Chelsea, and has previously hinted at his desire to return to his family – who still reside in Madrid from when Courtois played for Real’s rivals Atletico.

Liverpool have also been linked with moves for Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak, as well as Toulouse sensation Alban Lafont.
