Chelsea V Liverpool: FA Cup Final Preview, Predicted XI And Betting Odds

Liverpool will face Chelsea for the fourth time this season when they take on the Blues in the FA Cup final on Saturday evening.

It’s likely to be a very even contest at Wembley, with neither team having won a game against each other, without penalties, so far this campaign.

In terms of team news, Fabinho is expected to miss the showpiece event after sustaining a hamstring injury in the 2-1 win against Aston Villa. Naby Keita is also a minor doubt but Andy Robertson should be back in contention after being rested on Tuesday night.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Chelsea:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Konate, van Dijk, Robertson, Keita, Henderson, Thiago, Salah, Mane, Diaz

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel believes that Mateo Kovacic is unlikely to face the Reds after picking up an ankle injury in the 3-0 victory over Leeds. The Blues are also sweating over the fitness of N’Golo Kante (knock). Callum Hudson-Odoi (Achilles) and Ben Chilwell (knee) have both been ruled out.

Chelseas’ Predicted XI:

Mendy, James, Azpilicueta, Silva, Rudiger, Alonso, Kante, Jorginho, Mount, Lukaku, Pulisic

The bookies have made Liverpool the slight favourites with Betfair currently pricing them at 11/10 to win. A draw after 90 minutes is 27/10 with the same bookmaker, while a victory for Chelsea is 11/4 at Bet 365.

Predicted Score – 2-2 (Liverpool to win on penalties)
