Chelsea V Liverpool: Match Preview, Team News And Betting Odds

With Manchester City streaking off into the distance, both Liverpool and Chelsea know that three points are a must this weekend if they are to keep their fading title hopes alive.

The Reds are currently nine points off the league leaders and, while they do have a game in hand, they can’t afford to fall any further behind.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has some fitness doubts with Thiago (knock) and Takumi Minamino (muscular) both missing the 1-0 defeat to Leicester midweek. Divock Origi (knee), Adrian (calf), Nat Phillips (cheekbone) and Harvey Elliott (ankle) are all on the treatment table, while Andy Robertson is still suspended.

The Blues have six players sidelined. Andreas Christensen (back), Ruben Loftus-Cheek (ankle) and Timo Werner (virus) are touch and go to feature on Sunday, while Reece James (hamstring), Ben Chilwell (knee) and Thiago Silva (hamstring) have all been ruled out.

At the bookmakers, Liverpool are currently the slight favourites with Coral pricing them at 27/20 for the win. A draw is 5/2 with Bet 365 while a victory for Chelsea is 21/10 at Betway.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to Liverpool
