Liverpool and Chelsea will be looking give their respective seasons a shot in the arm on Tuesday evening as they clash in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool currently have a few injuries ahead of their game against the Blues. Luis Diaz, Naby Keita, Calvin Ramsay, Stefan Bajcetic and Thiago will all miss out on Tuesday’s game.

The last time the two teams met, they played out an uninspiring goalless draw. Neither team created a gilt-edged chance – in total, there were just five shots on target all game.

In their last game, Liverpool were dismantled at the hands of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City. The scores were level at half-time, after goals from Mohamed Salah and Julian Alvarez, but the Sky Blues put their foot on the gas in the second half. Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish all got their names on the scoresheet to punctuate their dominance.

Meanwhile, Chelsea were also beaten in their last game, as they fell to a 2-0 defeat against Aston Villa. It was a result that led the Chelsea board to sack Graham Potter – as such, the Blues will be without a permanent head coach for their game on Tuesday.

Liverpool are currently 8th in the Premier League table – eight points behind the Champions League spots. Chelsea have fared even worse this season – the Blues currently sit in 11th, below the likes of Brighton, Fulham and Brentford.
