Club ‘Aware Of Interest’ But Liverpool Are Told They Will Have To Shell Out 50M For Midfield Target

Brighton are “aware of interest” from other clubs in Yves Bissouma but they are not willing to sell the midfielder on the cheap despite his contract situation, according to The Athletic.

The Malian international has only eighteen months left on his current deal but the Seagulls have made it clear that the 25-year-old will only be offloaded for £50m.

Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and Aston Villa have all been credited with an interest in Bissouma but no team has so far entered talks about signing the player.

It is likely that the price tag is one of the main reasons putting off potential suitors, including the Reds, who are believed to be in the market for a midfielder.

Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni has been mentioned as a possible option in recent days, while AC Milan’s Franck Kessie and Borussia Monchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria are also reportedly under consideration.

Bissouma does have experience of the Premier League, though, and if he doesn’t put pen to paper on a new deal, his asking price will surely be lowered.
