Liverpool are preparing to take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League, as Jurgen Klopp’s men look to continue their season’s resurgence in the competition where they can still “save” their season by finishing in the top 4.

Liverpool are set to be without four first team players for their trip down south to Selhurst Park. Luis Diaz, Thiago, Ibrahima Konate and Arthur are all out until March with their respective injuries. Konate is back in training, but will still likely miss out on the Palace game.

Additionally, Joe Gomez is also a major doubt – he was substituted off in the second half of Liverpool’s 5-2 defeat against Real Madrid and faces a late fitness test.

In their last Premier League game, Liverpool picked up an impressive away win as they defeated Newcastle United. The Reds took advantage of Newcastle’s high line, getting in behind Sven Botman and Fabian Schar with regularity.

At 2-0, Nick Pope inexplicably handled the ball outside of his area and was sent off – from that moment onwards, Liverpool were content to see out the match and deal with anything that the Magpies could throw at them.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace also collected a result on the road, as they battled Brentford in a London derby. Eberechi Eze made in 1-0 in the second half, but the Bees netted an equaliser with virtually the last kick of the game thanks to Vitaly Janelt.

Liverpool are currently 8th in the Premier League table, just outside the European qualification spots – Palace, on the other hand, are in 12th place, as the Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira’s team look to consolidate their position in England’s top division for another year.
