Liverpool and Arsenal have both stepped up their interest in PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo, according to The Athletic journalist David Ornstein.
The reporter, who is usually very reliable, claims PSV have an agreement in place to sell the player for the right price this summer. This has led the Reds and the Gunners to “accelerate” their interest in the Netherlands international:

It is believed that Gakpo could be available for a fee in excess of £35m, which is not a high price, considering the winger is still only 22 years of age, and has been in excellent form this campaign.
The Dutchman has scored 16 goals and contributed 15 assists in 37 appearances, with the player having also attracted interest from the likes of Bayern Munich and Barcelona.
No team has so far opened formal discussions with PSV but it is believed that could happen in the not too distant future once interested clubs have formulated their plans for the summer transfer window.
