Davies To Start, Kabak On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Brighton

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has played down the prospect of new signings Ben Davies and Ozan Kabak starting against Brighton this evening, but it could well be the best time to bed in one of the two centre-backs, especially with the game against Manchester City coming up this weekend.

For that reason, the Reds could select Davies in the backline alongside Jordan Henderson, with Kabak on the bench. In the fullback positions, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are likely to be selected.

In midfield, James Milner will need to be rested after tweaking a muscle against West Ham, so Curtis Jones is expected to line up with Thiago and Georginio Wijnaldum. Naby Keita remains unavailable.

After being benched for the win over the Hammers, Roberto Firmino could be recalled in place of Xherdan Shaqiri, with Divock Origi and Mo Salah taking up the other two forward positions.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Brighton:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Henderson, Davies, Robertson, Jones, Wijnaldum, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Origi
