Diaz, Salah, Van Dijk And Thiago To Start; Jota And Firmino Out: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Take On City

After making seven changes against Benfica midweek, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is likely to reinstate most of his first-team regulars for the FA Cup semi-final against Manchester City tomorrow.

Alisson will keep his place in goal, but Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson are expected to replace Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas in the fullback positions.

The Reds struggled with the offside trap against Benfica so having Virgil van Dijk’s organisational abilities back in the centre of defence will be important. Joel Matip may well be given the nod to start alongside the Dutchman.

In midfield, the fact that Jordan Henderson was substituted before the hour mark midweek suggests the club captain will lead his team out at Wembley. It means Naby Keita and James Milner will be the two to make way for Thiago and Fabinho.

Diogo Jota is unlikely to be risked after picking up an injury on Wednesday. Despite his brace, Roberto Firmino could also find himself on the bench, with Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and Mo Salah the likeliest front three.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester City:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Mane, Diaz
