Djed Spence’s Transfer Preference Revealed As 4 PL Clubs (Including Liverpool) Consider 17M Swoop

Middlesbrough right-back Djed Spence is keen on signing for Nottingham Forest on a permanent basis if they secure promotion to the Premier League, according to TEAMtalk.

The website claims that Liverpool are among six other teams keeping tabs on the fullback, with the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Barcelona and Bayern Munich also said to be keen.

However, it appears Spence would be prepared to stay at Forest, where he has excelled on loan under the guidance of manager Steve Cooper this season.

Middlesbrough are, though, reportedly holding out for a fee in the region of £17m, and if Forest don’t seal promotion through the playoffs, Spence would have to consider other possible destinations.

Liverpool are believed to be actively looking for an understudy to Trent Alexander-Arnold. Aberdeen’s Calvin Ramsay has been mentioned as a potential target but it appears that Spence is another option that the Reds may look to pursue this summer.
