Everton V Liverpool: The Merseyside Derby Preview And Betting Odds

It has been a long wait, but Liverpool will finally resume their season when they face Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday evening.

With it being behind closed doors, it will be a very different spectacle to usual with the lack of home support likely to play into the Reds’ hands.

Manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Mo Salah and Andy Roberton are both expected to be fit for the match this weekend. Adrian and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are, though, believed to be doubts while Xherdan Shaqiri (calf) has also been ruled out.

For Everton, head coach Carlo Ancelotti could be without six players for the derby, with Andre Gomes (knock) and Fabian Delph (muscular) having been added to the casualty list. Both players are rated as 50/50 to be fit for Sunday’s clash.

It was already known that Theo Walcott (abdominal), Yerry Mina (thigh), Cenk Tosun (knee) Jean-Phillipe Gbamin (Achilles) would be missing for the game at Goodison Park.

The bookmakers have Liverpool as favourites for the three points with Sky Bet pricing them at 3/5. A draw is 33/10 with Unibet while an Everton victory is 5/1 at Bet 365.

Predicted Score – 2-1 to Liverpool
