Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has revealed that captain Jordan Henderson and Joel Matip are now pain-free following their recoveries from knee and toe injuries respectively, but they have yet to return to team training.
The Reds boss is predicting that both players should be available for the first league game of the season against Leeds next month or at least in the first few weeks of the new campaign.
Supporters on Twitter are glad that both Henderson and Matip will be back soon, although some are frustrated that they won’t be back earlier:

Henderson’s knee injury was unfortunate, but there shouldn’t be any issues once he returns to full fitness. There will be more concern over Matip who has spent so many months on the sidelines due to injury since moving to Anfield.
Especially after Dejan Lovren was sold to Zenit St Petersburg, it will be even more important that the Cameroon international stays fit next season.
