Liverpool fans have been left divided in opinion after it has been revealed star midfielder Philippe Coutinho is close to joining Barcelona.
The Brazilian superstar has been heavily linked with a big money move to the Camp Nou over the past year.
And now, after missing out on their man in the summer, it appears the Catalan club will land their man this month. The Daily Mirror reports that Coutinho will leave Anfield in the coming days and that he has played his final game in a Liverpool shirt.
The Reds are expected to demand an astonishing £133 million for his signature, however it is believed Barcelona are more than happy to meet that asking price, with them seeing the midfielder as the natural successor to Andres Iniesta.
Coutinho joined Liverpool from Inter Milan in an £8.5 million move in January 2013, and has since gone on to become one of the club’s most valued players.
In now nearly seven seasons, the Brazil international has made 200 appearances, and scored an impressive 54 times, including 12 times this season already.
While he is no doubt an integral part of Jurgen Klopp’s side, such an astronomical fee has torn the Liverpool fans apart. Do you think he should be allowed to leave?

We’d be daft if we did, don’t see how at this moment it benefits both player & club with the CL looming. He signed a 5 year deal, he can see out a further 6 months & go in the summer

Why would he leave in January? No way Liverpool let him leave mid season.
