Firmino And Fabinho To Start, Henderson And Jota Out: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Arsenal

After switching formation to 4-4-2 against Rangers midweek, it looks as though Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will keep the system when they take on Arsenal this weekend.

Alisson will start in goal, while Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk are expected to be picked in the centre of defence after recording a clean sheet on Tuesday night.

Andy Robertson is back in training but, from the sound of things, he is unlikely to be ready to start at the Emirates, so Kostas Tsimikas will stay at left-back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold on the opposite flank.

The formation change means there is now a midfield two. Thiago is likely to remain in the eleven but Klopp may opt for Fabinho ahead of Jordan Henderson to ensure there is someone in the middle of the park who can break up play.

Roberto Firmino is a man in form so the Brazilian is expected to be recalled. He could replace Diogo Jota in the lineup, playing behind Darwin Nunez as the number 10, with Luis Diaz and Mo Salah as the two wingers.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Arsenal:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, van Dijk, Tsimikas, Fabinho, Thiago, Salah, Firmino, Nunez, Diaz
