Firmino To Start, Jota Out: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Play Manchester City

Liverpool will know a win against Manchester City tomorrow would be a massive morale boost in their efforts to reclaim the Premier League title from the reigning champions.

Manager Jurgen Klopp is unlikely to make many changes from the 5-1 win over Porto on Tuesday night, especially as there is a five-day gap between the two fixtures.

Alisson Becker will start in goal, with James Milner deputising once again for the injured Trent Alexander-Arnold. Andy Robertson will likely be selected at left-back, with Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk as the two centre-halves.

In midfield, Klopp does have the likes of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain available but the impressive performances of Curtis Jones mean the 20-year-old is favourite to line up alongside Fabinho and captain Jordan Henderson.

The big decision will be up front. Diogo Jota is in form but, following his brace in midweek, Roberto Firmino could come back into the team, with Sadio Mane on the left and Mo Salah playing off the right flank.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Manchester City:

Alisson, Milner, Matip, van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Fabinho, Jones, Salah, Firmino, Mane
