Four Liverpool players have been shortlisted for the FIFA FIFPro World XI.

Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane were all included for the first time in the 55-man shortlist, which was voted for by their peers.

The list was complied from the votes of 25,000 footballers from 65 countries.

The final World XI – which will include one goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards – will be unveiled on September 24th during a special ceremony in London.

Twelve other Premier League players were nominated for the award, including Chelsea duo Eden Hazard and N’Golo Kante, as well as Tottenham’s Harry Kane and Kieren Trippier.

Manchester City had three players nominated in David Silva, Kevin de Bruyne and Kyle Walker, while Manchester United have four in David De Gea, Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.

Everton’s new Colombian centre-back Yerry Mina completes the list of nominees from the Premier League.
