Galatasaray Looking To Open Negotiations With Liverpool For £27m Rated Marksman

Galatasaray will look to start negotiations with Liverpool over signing Divock Origi in the coming days, according to reports in the Turkish media.

The Belgian international has fallen way down the pecking order at Anfield and has not been named in a matchday squad by Jurgen Klopp. His only appearances so far this season have come for the club’s Under 23s.

It was reported in the summer that Liverpool wanted £27m for Origi with Borussia Dortmund keen on the 23-year-old. However, the Bundesliga club withdrew from the race as they wanted a loan deal.

Galatasaray are now believed to be looking at a January swoop for the Belgian striker. They are seeking to reinforce their frontline after losing Bafetimbi Gomis to Al-Hilal in the summer.

The Turkish club are said to want to get negotiations underway for Origi as soon as possible so they have the transfer sewn up well before the transfer window reopens in the New Year.
