Liverpool have reportedly had their first proposal turned down for Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez but fans want the Reds to continue their pursuit of the 26-year-old.
It has been claimed in the Catalan media that the Merseyside club tabled a €40m (£34m) bid, and supporters on Twitter want Jurgen Klopp’s side to return with an improved offer:
Give them Keita let him become their problem

You don't start negotiation on the high you start low and gradually move up.

Niguez does have other potential suitors, with Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea having been mentioned as potential destinations in recent months, but it doesn’t seem as though Liverpool are facing much competition at the moment.
There has been some suggestions that Niguez could be used in a swap deal with Barcelona’s Antoine Griezmann but that does seem like wishful thinking on the La Liga club’s part, considering their financial situation.
Whether Liverpool will come back to the table with a revised bid in the coming days and weeks, we shall have to wait and see.
