Liverpool striker Divock Origi was in truly inspired form against Barcelona last night.
It’s hard to pick out just one player in what was a stunning turnaround in the Champions League semi-final but with the Belgian opening the scoring, and sealing the victory, he deserves a lot of the plaudits.
Fans on Twitter were absolutely delighted with Origi’s performance:

Origi has been a peripheral figure, for the most part, this season, having started just seven matches in all competitions, including last night’s game.
He may have been an unlikely hero, but the 24-year-old tends to stand up to the plate on the big occasions. He’s already scored two crucial goals in the wins against Everton and Newcastle this season.
However, this was on another level entirely. The Belgian forward was on top form from the beginning to the end of the game, and his brace will go down in Anfield folklore.
