‘Going For Him…’ Reports Claims Liverpool Are Among 6 Teams Trying To Snap Up Bundesliga Star On Free Transfer

Liverpool are interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt defender Evan Ndicka when his contract expires this summer, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Catalan publication reports that Barcelona are also pursuing the 23-year-old, but the La Liga side are hesitant to make a move for Ndicka if there is an “auction” for his services.

They claim that Liverpool, Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain are “going for him”, with the Frenchman set to leave Germany on a free transfer.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are expected to be in the market for a left-sided centre-back. They have already been heavily linked with Josko Gvardiol but the Croatian international could cost in excess of £100m.

Ndicka (who has also been a target for Arsenal) would, therefore, be a cost-effective solution to strengthen numbers at the back, while conserving transfer funds for signing midfielders. The likes of Jude Bellingham and Mason Mount will not be available on the cheap so taking advantage of the free agent market for additional reinforcements seems like a sensible move.
