Liverpool should have both Fabinho and Alisson Becker back available for the game against Chelsea at Anfield on Thursday.
After the 2-0 victory over Sheffield United, manager Jurgen Klopp said he was “pretty sure” that the pair would be back in the matchday squad later this week.
Alisson missed the trip to Bramall Lane after being given compassionate leave following the death of his father, while Fabinho is returning from a muscular problem that has kept him out since the defeat to Manchester City last month.
Following Chelsea’s draw against Manchester United yesterday, the Reds have managed to close the gap to the Blues in the table, and fans on Twitter are happy that they will have two important players back for such a crucial fixture:
Good news.

Adrian did perform well in the victory over the Blades but the return of the club’s number one will be welcomed. It also remains to be seen whether Fabinho will be used in defence or if he is restored to his natural position in midfield.
