Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has said he won’t be drawn on his future before his team’s final game of the season this Saturday.
Reports in France suggest Liverpool are in pole position to sign the Frenchman, with the likes of Real Madrid, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal having also been linked in recent months. Tchouamemi was, though, not giving much away when asked about his plans at the weekend:
“Am I going to stay here? Good question, I have a contract until 2025 with AS Monaco and I’m very good there. The most important thing is the match against Lens and we will do the accounts at the end to see what the future holds for me.”
Monaco are reportedly demanding around €75m (£64m) for Tchouameni, so the Reds would have to shell out a significant sum if they want to secure the France international’s signature this summer.
It has been suggested that the 22-year-old is keen on leaving France, which means that a switch to the Premier League or La Liga is very much on the cards. At this stage, however, it is hard to tell which club the midfielder is most interested in signing for.
