Liverpool attacking midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain put in a man of the match performance in the 2-1 win against Genk last night.
Manager Jurgen Klopp opted to start the 26-year-old in an unorthodox false-nine role with Divock Origi and Mo Salah either side of him, and the ploy paid off with the midfielder getting on the scoresheet.
Supporters on Twitter are now calling on Klopp to give Oxlade-Chamberlain a start against Manchester City on Sunday:

Oxlade-Chamberlain has now scored four goals in his last four appearances for the Reds but, despite his excellent recent form, there is no guarantee he will start this weekend.
Klopp’s favoured midfield three for big games has been Jordan Henderson, Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum this season, and he is unlikely to change his thinking for the biggest match of the campaign so far against City.
Henderson has been out with an illness so Oxlade-Chamberlain could be picked ahead of the Liverpool captain, but the midfielder is likely to recover before Sunday.
