Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was visibly frustrated after being substituted on the hour mark versus Nottingham Forest last night.
The former Arsenal star had not made an appearance for the Reds since the previous round of the FA Cup against Norwich earlier this month, and it seems he felt he was deserving of more minutes on the pitch at the City Ground.
However, fans on Twitter were far from sympathetic about Oxlade-Chamberlain’s situation, with many saying that he didn’t do enough to warrant staying on:
He has no right to complain.

Then he must do better when the chance to play comes along.

To be fair to Oxlade-Chamberlain, he did make some good forward runs but his final pass was lacking, and he didn’t make the impact he would have wanted.
With manager Jurgen Klopp keen to get the opening goal, he decided to switch to a 4-4-2 midway through the second half, with Oxlade-Chamberlain one of those sacrificed. We shall have to wait and see when the 28-year-old will get another chance.
