“He Is Available” Klopp Reveals Major Injury Boost Ahead Of Liverpool’s Clash Against Atalanta

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that Mo Salah will be in the squad to face Atalanta in the Champions League tomorrow night.

It was feared that the Egyptian international could miss up to three games after testing positive for the virus, due to the mandatory ten-day self-isolation period, but after a negative test, Klopp said the forward is ready to play following his return to training:

“Mo trained and looked really good, a negative test like the rest. He is available. We have to see what we can do with that.”

Klopp was far less forthcoming when it came to injury updates on other players. All he said was that one player was close to being fit, while another wasn’t. He may have been referring to Thiago Alcantara and Jordan Henderson but we shall have to wait and see who is included in the team tomorrow night.

Henderson sat out the 3-0 win over Leicester City due to a tight hamstring while Thiago has taken longer than expected to recover from a knee injury he sustained in the Merseyside derby last month.
