Ex-Liverpool striker Djibril Cisse believes Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount would be a good addition to the Reds’ squad.

Anfield is one of the possible destinations for the 24-year-old if he leaves Stamford Bridge this summer, and Cisse says he will be a great signing for any team:

“Mason Mount is a good young player with a bright future ahead of him. He will be good at any club that he joins – whether that is Liverpool or not we will have to wait and see.”

Mount has also been linked with Newcastle, Manchester City and Manchester United but Liverpool are currently the favourites to secure his signature.

The England international is struggling to find an agreement with Chelsea over a new contract and he could be sold at the end of the season if he doesn’t sign an extension.

Reports suggest that Mount could be available for around £60m. Considering his age and ability, that wouldn’t be an exorbitant price, although there is still some uncertainty over whether the Blues would be willing to sell him to a Premier League rival. We shall have to wait and see how this story unfolds.
