‘Heartbreaking For Liverpool’ Piers Morgan Makes Prediction About Coronavirus’s Impact On The Premier League

Journalist Piers Morgan says he expects the Premier League season will have to be abandoned due to the Coronavirus outbreak.

Responding to a tweet by Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher, before the Premier League officially announced the games had been suspended until April 3rd, Morgan said he can’t see the season restarting any time soon:

Of course, Morgan’s uninformed opinion on the matter shouldn’t really be listened to but the fear that the Reds’ first title in thirty years could be snatched away from them by the pandemic is a genuine one held by many Liverpool supporters.

Certainly, as Morgan says, the priority has to be public safety and we are now heading into a period which is unprecedented in the post Second World War era. At the moment, there is no certainty as to when the next league game will be played in this country and supporters will just have to to be patient.
