Henderson And Phillips To Start, Jota On The Bench: Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Take On Everton

After the horrific display in the 3-0 defeat to Wolves last weekend, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he is confident of getting a reaction out of his players for the Merseyside derby.

Everton recorded a shock win over league leaders Arsenal last time out, with new head coach Sean Dyche making an instant impact, so this is expected to be a tightly contested fixture.

The Reds will start Alisson Becker in goal, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson as the two fullbacks. There could, though, be a change in the centre of defence, with Nat Phillips partnering Joe Gomez, meaning the hapless Joel Matip will make way.

In midfield, Thiago is a doubt due to injury so captain Jordan Henderson may return to the starting lineup alongside Naby Keita and Stefan Bajcetic.

Up front, Diogo Jota is back in training but he will only be fit enough for the bench. Klopp is, therefore, likely to persist with Darwin Nunez up top, with Cody Gakpo and Mo Salah either side of him.

Liverpool’s Predicted XI To Face Everton:

Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Phillips, Gomez, Robertson, Henderson, Bajcetic, Keita, Salah, Nunez, Gakpo
