Liverpool fans have slammed goalkeeper Loris Karius following his latest blunder between the sticks.
Karius made two crucial errors in the Champions League final back in May, resulting in goals for both Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale as the Reds lost 3-1 to Real Madrid in Kiev.
And the German shot-stopper (or not, as it appears) was at fault again yesterday as the Reds beat Tranmere Rovers 3-2 in a pre-season friendly, spilling a tame free-kick that allowed the hosts to score.
Jurgen Klopp was quick to defend Karius following his error, saying: “Mistakes will happen; I don’t like it, he doesn’t like it.
“Let’s carry on and make the best of all these situations by learning from them.”
He also added “could” have saved the shot, but that it was “not easy to deal with”, and that he needs a string of “fantastic” games to get build back his confidence.
The Liverpool fans however, have been far less forgiving than Klopp is their assessment of Karius’ blunder …

I’m happy Karius has just made another mistake in pre season. Hopefully this will be the final nail in the coffin for his Liverpool career. Hopefully this has opened Klopp’s eyes. We need a new goalkeeper.
