“He’s Definitely Frustrated…” Journalist Provides Update On Chelsea Ace’s Future Amid Liverpool Speculation

Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic would likely be open to a move to Liverpool as he is “frustrated” with his role at the London club, according to journalist Dean Jones.

A switch to Anfield was played down last week but Jones insists that the Reds are still keeping an eye on Pulisic’s situation, with manager Jurgen Klopp known to be a big fan of the American:

“This is the move that was mooted before he went to Chelsea, everybody was expecting him to land at Liverpool with Jurgen Klopp. He is a big admirer of his, understands his game. I think personally, it would be a great move for Pulisic at this point, because he’s definitely frustrated with the way things are going at Chelsea.”

Usually, if Klopp wants someone, he gets them. He was keen for the Reds to sign Luis Diaz from Porto in January, and he was a driving force in securing a deal for Darwin Nunez so, if he is targeting Pulisic too, then it’s likely an offer will be made.

A big caveat, though, is whether Liverpool actually need another winger. Pulisic is most comfortable playing on the left flank, cutting in onto his stronger right foot. The Reds already have Diaz and Diogo Jota who both favour the same position.

At this stage, you’d have to think an approach for Pulisic is unlikely, despite the 23-year-old clearly being admired by Klopp.
