Liverpool left-back Kostas Tsimikas put in an outstanding performance as the Reds secured a vital win over Ajax in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Greek international provided the assist for Joel Matip‘s winner but he also created five chances in total, which was the best figure he has managed in a single game.
Supporters on Twitter were full of praise for Tsimikas and they are hoping that the defender gets a long run in the team after the international break:

It wasn’t just his crossing that impressed fans against Ajax, it was his overall contribution, with his strength in one-on-one duels a particular highlight.
Andy Robertson is expected to return from a knee injury when the Reds face Brighton in their next game on October 1st but there is no doubt that Tsimikas deserves to keep his place ahead of the Scotland captain based on his current form.
